SYPartners is many things, including a design strategy firm, a consultancy, a group of people aiming for greatness, and a transformation coach, to name a few. The projects and clients at SYP are just as diverse as its employees, and the work is often vision and purpose focused, challenging both teams and clients to work hard for answers.
I spent about six months as a design intern before I became a full-time designer for two years. During my time there, I was fortunate enough to work with clients like Google, Apple, The Gates Foundation, Nike, Kaiser-Permanente, The Emerson Collective, and a few internal projects for the SYP brand.
The work done at SYP is usually confidential, so I can't show too much. Instead, is an abbreviated list of a the things I've made:
At SYP, I learned how to be a bit of a strategist, a project manager, a production designer, a presenter, and a facilitator by wearing many different hats. I loved talking strategy and improving it with design, and improving the design by understanding the underlying strategy. I loved building ambitious, wonderful things with my teammates, particularly with strategists. In summary, I came out of my time at SYP a better me.
